Esmaeili told reporters on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting in Tehran that Iran will soon launch the Caspian International Film Festival.
According to the agreements between Iran and Russia, cultural centers in Tehran, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and some other cities will be held according to plans agreed with Russia, he added.
The steps will help broaden mutual cooperation in the sphere of culture, said the official who was in Russia earlier this month to discuss increased cooperation between Tehran and Moscow on cultural projects.
Last year, an Iranian animation movie was screened in Russia generating about $2.5 million in box office sales, said Esmaeili, adding that more Iranian cinematic works are planned to be screened in Russia according to recent agreements between the two countries.
